Your first year of college is a time of great transition. You may be living on your own for the first time or adjusting to setting your own schedule. You’re probably also trying to adjust to the particular culture and atmosphere of Tech. Along with our partners on campus, the LGBTQIA Resource Center offers a number of resources to help make your first year at Tech a little easier.

Welcome Reception

Welcome to Teach! Join us during the month of August for our annual LGBTQIA Family Reunion.

This is an opportunity to get to know your peers while enjoying free food, games, and activities.

Student Organization

Pride Alliance, Tech’s oldest LGBTQIA student organization, hosts events collectively known as Welcome Week at the beginning of Fall semester. This organization is for undergraduate students.

First year graduate students or transfer graduate students can get involved with Grad Pride.

Dialogue & Discussion

Q Chats is our bi-weekly group discussion series for students.

These groups are a great opportunity to meet other students and build community.

Pride Peers

Pride Peers is a peer mentoring program designed for current students to assist incoming students with the transition to Georgia Tech by providing a consistent student mentoring relationship during their first year on campus.

Queer Coffeehouse

Queer Coffeehouse is an informal community hour for students to share dialogue with each other, build community, and develop stronger connections. One Coffeehouse each month is dedicated to a specific topic.
