Queer Self Care: A Workshop for LGBTQIA Students

As a part of our LGBTQIA Health and Wellbeing Series, this workshop for LGBTQIA students will help participants understand common sources of stress and mental health concerns unique to LGBTQIA communities and how to manage these by practicing a variety of self-care strategies.

Facilitators from the Counseling Center and LGBTQIA Resource Center will lead reflection, discussion, and skill-building focused on self-care as queer individuals and communities. We will share tools and techniques that will help participants thrive when dealing with daily microaggressions and macroaggressions, and the emotional labor of supporting and uplifting queer friends, partners, and peers.
