Nominations are closed for 2020. Check back in January 2021.
First presented in 2015, the Lavender Awards recognize individuals, departments, and organizations that have made Georgia Tech a safer and more inclusive environment for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and asexual students, faculty, staff, and alumni.
Each year, the Center presents four awards: The Billiee Pendleton Parker Award for Outstanding Allyship, The Award for LGBTQIA Student Leadership, The Award for LGBTQIA Faculty/Staff Leadership, and The LGBTQIA Alum of the Year Award. To honor those individuals who have demonstrated significant and sustained commitment to the LGBTQIA community, the Center also awards the Lavender Lifetime Achievement Award; this honor is only given on those years where such a deserving individual has been identified. In 2020, the awards will be presented at our virtual Lavender Awards ceremony on Wednesday, April 22nd.
An awards committee reviews all nominations and selects winners.
