This fall, we'll be hosting a special T+ workshop with Dr. Izzy Lowell, founder of QueerMed. Dr. Lowell is a trans health specialist who has recently moved from Emory Healthcare to set up her own private practice specifically for trans patients.
Dr. Lowell is coming to Tec to lead a workshop just for T+ members! She will present on some trans health issues including primary and preventative care for trans people, how to find trans-friendly providers, what to expect at your first appointment, and more. The bulk of the workshop, however, will be focused on answering your questions. Whatever trans health questions you have - about HRT, primary care, surgery, etc. - bring them to this workshop and ask an expert!

What is T+?

T+ is a closed group for transgender, gender non-conforming, and gender-questioning students at Georgia Tech.

Who can join T+?

Transgender, gender non-conforming, and gender-questioning students are welcome to join T+. Cisgender allies who are interested in learning more about practicing allyship to the transgender community can attend our educational trainings (Safe Space, Safe Space: Peer Education, and Greek Allies), including a new program, Trans 101.

What does T+ do?

T+ is a closed group that aims to build community and peer support for transgender, gender non-conforming, and gender-questioning students. As a program of the LGBTQIA Resource Center, T+ hosts:

1) student social and community events (game nights, student socials, etc.)
2) an online Facebook group for questions, community and resource-sharing
3) group dialogue series through Q Chats

If you are a transgender, gender non-conforming, or gender-questioning student, and you would like to be involved in T+, please contact us for more details.
