LGBTQIA Health and Wellness Workshop Series
Monday, 25th September, 6:00-7:30pm
In this series, we provide educational workshops that target the unique health needs of our diverse LGBTQIA communities.
Navigating sex and relationships as a queer woman can be challenging when so much health information is aimed at straight, cisgender folks. Join staff from the LGBTQIA Resource Center and Women's Resource Center for a fun and frank conversation about queer women's sexual health in the latest installment of Sex in the Dark.
By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:
- Explain how to properly use barrier methods to prevent STI transmission
- Identify factors to consider before choosing to be sexually active
- Identify queer sexual health resources
After a short presentation, this workshop will be centered around the questions and interests of the participants; we'll provide a comfortable environment for you to ask questions anonymously.
This event is open to any student who identifies as a lesbian, bisexual, queer, questioning, pansexual, trans, or asexual woman, or any student who identifies as a woman who has or is thinking about having sex with women.
